For most part, I may be a super-conceptual, dramatic girl that takes to avant-garde like moth to a flame but sometimes its the tiniest and simplest details in fashion that draw me in like no other.
Nor Black Nor White has (once again) knocked my socks off doing just so! By now you are quite familiar with my admiration for Amrit Kumar and Mriga Kapadiya and theirSpring/Summer 2011 collection - how they take on the task each season of highlighting a particular Indian region’s styles and construction techniques. For their second collection they burrow into Banaras and Lucknow, two regions well known for their handwoven brocades and embroideries. While you can expect to see a lot of beautiful brocades, dabka work and Lucknowi chikan in the collection, they've also carried over some tie-dye from the S/S 2011 collection for a luxe but modern mish mash. I really really enjoy these little details, it all comes together rather handsomely.
